BOMBANANA Launch Updates Hub

BOMBANANA! is out. Lefto Studio, the Istanbul indie team led by Ufuk Girit, shipped the full Steam build on 2 September 2026, with TARK as publisher. Steam app 4656000 is the product you buy. The free demo remains a separate app (4747510) that taught millions of trios the three-monkey loop before launch. This hub is the wiki’s change log: not a rumor board, and not a place where we invent version numbers the studio has not published.

Use the three pages under this hub together. The launch notes list what the full game added on day one. The patch notes cover the documented demo-to-full delta, the June 2026 demo hotfixes we can actually cite, and the only honest way to verify a later patch: Lefto Studio’s Steam news for app 4656000. The demo vs full page tracks the 15 June 2026 demo, the mid-August demo pause, and what Lefto said would return at launch. If a numbered 1.0.x list is not on Steam, it is not on this page either.

Why this hub exists

A three-player online co-op game lives or dies on shared facts. If one friend thinks Endless is still a demo tease, and another thinks Campaign has thirty levels, the lobby argument starts before the bomb does. BOMBANANA! also moved unusually fast: the demo opened 15 June 2026, topped Steam Next Fest June 2026, added macOS on 3 July 2026, crossed six million demo players and one million wishlists, then launched the paid game in early September. That timeline is easy to scramble if you only remember Discord screenshots.

This wiki records the public timeline, then points you at the guides that actually change when a feature lands. Campaign length belongs on the campaign walkthrough. Role voice rules belong on the co-op guide and the players hub. Callout habits belong on the callout sheet. Hardware belongs on system requirements. Lobby flow belongs on lobby setup. Updates pages should not duplicate those guides. They should tell you when the ground moved.

What we treat as a real update

A real update, for this wiki, is something Lefto Studio or Steam published in a news post, a store-page change, or a dated hotfix note. Examples we already have:

  • 15 June 2026 — demo launch (app 4747510), Windows first, Unity build, exactly three online players.
  • 16 June 2026 — demo hotfix for Italian manual pages, calculation-module text, lobby join, voice delay, and a stuck emote-wheel texture.
  • 3 July 2026 — macOS added to the demo.
  • June 2026 Next Fest — BOMBANANA! was the number one demo of that event.
  • 2 September 2026 — full Steam launch at $7.99, with an introductory $4.95 price through 9 September 2026.

Early full-game reviews sit at Very Positive. The demo’s review summary was Overwhelmingly Positive at about 97 percent. Those two scores are not interchangeable. Quote the store page you are looking at.

How to read the two child pages

Start with launch notes if you are buying the game this week or returning from the demo. That page is the feature checklist: Campaign (30 handcrafted levels), Endless, Custom, fourteen new modules (eleven standard plus three CHAOS modules aimed at Blind Monkey), the airplane environment, hazards such as outages, noise, and obstructions, emotes for every role, slapping, voice-synced mouths, the hand-painted art overhaul, a server browser, room codes, a random-role button, two colorblind modes, twenty-three Steam achievements (press materials called out sixteen as new), and full controller support.

Open patch notes if you want the delta in one place, or if you are trying to decide whether a Discord screenshot is a real hotfix. That page is deliberately conservative. It will not invent a patch title. It will tell you how to open Steam news, how to match a build to the store, and which demo-era fixes are already on the public record.

What launch did not silently rewrite

The full game did not change the player count. You still need exactly three people on Windows or macOS, online. There is still no solo defusal path. In-game voice is still role-restricted: Mute Monkey still cannot talk, Deaf Monkey still cannot hear the others through the game’s voice channel, Blind Monkey still cannot see colors or screen text. Those constraints are the product. If a future patch ever added a fourth player or a local-only mode, that would be a first-class news item here. Until Steam says so, do not plan a two-monkey run.

The communication loop also did not vanish just because Campaign is longer. The communication guide, the modules guide, and the controls page still describe the same relay: Mute looks up, Deaf speaks, Blind acts. New modules and CHAOS pieces add more states to call, not a reason to skip the getting started habits.

How this wiki will stay honest

When Lefto Studio posts a Steam news item after launch, this hub should gain a short dated summary and a link back to the news post. We will not scrape patch numbers from random videos. We will not treat a content-creator thumbnail as a patch. We will not write as if the full game is still in pre-release. If a store field disagrees with a press list — Steam Deck is the current example, with launch copy mentioning Deck support while the store still shows Unknown — both facts stay on the page. Check Steam yourself via the wiki hub links.

If you only have time for one next click: launch notes for the day-one list, then patch notes for the audit trail. After that, take the trio into a room with the lobby setup checklist and a printed callout sheet.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for three-player bomb runs.

Is BOMBANANA released?

Yes. The full Steam game launched on 2 September 2026. Do not treat it as unreleased. See the launch notes for the day-one feature list.

Where should I look for the latest patch?

Lefto Studio's Steam news for app 4656000 is the source this wiki follows. The patch notes page explains how to verify a post and refuses to invent numbered patches.

Did the demo already get hotfixes?

Yes. A 16 June 2026 demo hotfix covered Italian manual pages, calculation-module text, lobby join, voice delay, and an emote-wheel texture. Details live on patch notes.

What is the launch price?

The list price is $7.99. An introductory $4.95 price runs through 9 September 2026. Confirm the live Steam cart before you buy.

Does an update change the three-player rule?

No public post has changed it. BOMBANANA! still requires exactly three online players on Windows or macOS. Read how to play with friends before you try to fill a seat with a bot.
