Launch Notes

BOMBANANA! left the demo queue on 2 September 2026. Lefto Studio shipped the full Steam build (app 4656000) with TARK publishing. The list price is $7.99. An introductory $4.95 price is active through 9 September 2026. Early full-game reviews are Very Positive; treat that as a small launch sample, not the same pile of votes that made the demo Overwhelmingly Positive at about 97 percent.

The product you install is still a Unity game for Windows and macOS, still exactly three-player online co-op, still Blind, Deaf, and Mute Monkey in a mobile workshop. Launch is a content and quality jump, not a rewrite of the three-sense rule. If you only played the June demo, read this page as a packing list, then use the patch notes for the honest demo-to-full delta.

What launch actually added

Lefto Studio’s launch news and the August 2026 content reveal agree on a long but finite list. Memorize the headings, then drill into the matching wiki pages instead of treating this as a strategy guide.

Three modes. Campaign is thirty handcrafted levels that get harder as you climb. Endless is procedurally generated and wave-based; it keeps raising the pressure instead of ending on a story beat. Custom lets the trio set bomb difficulty, the explosion timer, which module types appear, which environmental hazards are in play, and how many mistakes the bomb will tolerate. Mode rankings live on the modes tier list once you have a sense of what your group can survive.

Fourteen new puzzle modules. Eleven are standard. Three are CHAOS modules, designed to keep Blind Monkey busy so the hands on the bomb cannot idle while Mute reads. The modules guide and the module tier list are the places to practice families. Do not expect this launch page to publish unofficial answer keys.

Airplane environment. Launch includes a new airplane stage with its own objects and interactions. Lefto has said more environments are in the works; that is a studio comment, not a dated patch. Until a later Steam news post names the next space, treat the airplane as the documented new location.

Hazards. Power outages, loud noise, and obstructions can break the callout chain. Someone may need to clear a physical problem in the van or cabin before the next wire cut is even legal. Plan a stop phrase in the communication guide so a blackout does not become three people shouting over different modules.

Monkey overhaul and quality of life

Launch is also a presentation pass. Objects were reworked with hand-painted textures. Every role now has an emote wheel, which matters because Mute Monkey still cannot speak and the other two still benefit from a shared gesture language. Players can slap each other. Mouths sync to voice in the lobby and in the bomb room. Those details sound like jokes until you realize Mute’s entire job is a readable gesture, and Deaf Monkey cannot hear a sarcastic “wait.”

Matchmaking is no longer friends-list only. A server browser and room codes let three people meet without adding Steam friends first. The lobby has a random role button if you want to stop arguing about who is Blind. There are two colorblind modes that retint objects and UI. Steam lists 23 achievements; press copy called out 16 new ones relative to the demo-era set. Lefto also listed full controller support. Steam Deck compatibility on the store is still Unknown at launch — the news post mentioned Deck support, the store field has not verified it. Check the live Steam page, then read system requirements before you assume a handheld session will work.

Price, platforms, and who should buy this week

Buy on Steam. There is no console SKU in the launch listing, no mobile build, and no Linux tab. Every seat in the trio needs a supported Windows 10/11 64-bit PC or a macOS 11+ machine, plus broadband, because the session is online. Hardware numbers are on the system requirements page (full-game Windows minimum is 8 GB RAM, not the older demo 2 GB line).

If your group already survived the demo, launch is the reason to reconvene: thirty Campaign levels, Endless for groups that want a timer that never politely stops, Custom for teaching a new Mute without throwing CHAOS modules at them on minute one. If your group never finished a demo bomb, skip public lobbies and run the getting started path with the callout sheet and a locked role set from the lobby setup checklist.

The clip below is demo-era footage, not a launch trailer. It is here because the panic it shows — three people with partial information and a ticking case — is still the full game. New modules and a prettier van do not remove the need for a repeat-back.

How launch changes the first hour

Demo veterans should not jump straight into Endless. Campaign is the on-ramp Lefto built for the full product: thirty authored rooms that introduce modules and hazards on purpose. Use controls to confirm keyboard, mouse, and controller binds after the art overhaul, then assign Blind, Deaf, and Mute before anyone queues. The roles tier list is optional flavor; the players hub is the actual job description.

Expect the first Campaign bombs to feel familiar, then to get mean when CHAOS modules and environmental noise stack. One module at a time still wins. The review page is the place for “is this still the demo we liked,” not this launch checklist.

Where to go after this page

Keep the updates hub bookmarked so you notice the next Steam news post. Use patch notes when someone claims a hotfix that is not on the store. Official channels — Steam, Discord, YouTube, X, Reddit, TikTok, Instagram — are collected on the wiki hub. If you are hosting tonight, stop reading launch marketing and open lobby setup.
