BOMBANANA Guides Hub

Start here, then pick a role, a module family, and a lobby plan before the timer starts.

BOMBANANA is a three-player online co-op bomb game from Lefto Studio in Istanbul, published by TARK on Steam. The full release landed on 2 September 2026 for Windows and macOS. You buy one copy per player, you sit three people in a lobby, and you split the work across Blind Monkey, Mute Monkey, and Deaf Monkey. Nobody holds a complete picture of the bomb. The wiki exists so your team spends the first night learning the chain, not arguing about who was supposed to speak.

This hub is the map. Use it when you are new, when you swap roles, and when Campaign starts stacking modules you have not named yet. Every page below is written for the released game. The demo that topped Steam Next Fest in June 2026 is useful history, not the current map.

Start in this order

Read Getting Started first if anyone in the trio has not finished a bomb. It covers install, the $7.99 price (introductory $4.95 through 9 September 2026), the hard three-player rule, and a first-session checklist that stops you launching with two people staring at a Start button that will not light.

Then lock the input habits on Controls. BOMBANANA is first-person, ships full controller support with Xbox pads, PlayStation pads, and Steam Input, and keeps in-game voice tied to the role you picked. Steam Deck compatibility is listed as Unknown, so do not plan a living-room night around a Deck until you test it.

Once hands and mics work, learn the language of the casing on Puzzle Modules. Wires, direction, the jumbled keypad, and switches are the families teams already know how to call. The full game adds fourteen new modules on top of that: eleven standard puzzles and three CHAOS modules built to keep Blind Monkey busy. This wiki teaches the callout process. It does not invent answer tables for modules Lefto has not documented in public.

Campaign, talk, and the lobby

Campaign is thirty handcrafted levels, not the seven-tier demo loop. Campaign Levels explains how difficulty climbs. After that, Endless mode is the wave exam, Custom bombs is the drill with your own timer and mistake limit, and environments covers the minivan workshop versus the airplane plus outages, obstructions, and noise. Use those pages when someone still quotes the demo Free Mode as if it were the full product.

Most bombs die in the middle of a sentence. Communication is the operating manual for the Mute to Deaf to Blind flow, the emote wheel, stop phrases, and the fact that Deaf Monkey cannot hear a panicked question even when Blind shouts it. Playing Co-op covers the server browser, room codes, Steam friends, the random role button, and why public lobbies need a host who assigns jobs before the clock.

If you are deciding whether the chaos is worth $7.99, read the BOMBANANA review. Early Steam reviews sit at Very Positive. The design is closer to an argument simulator than a solo puzzle game, and that is either the point or the reason you refund.

Roles, tools, and live changes

Guides tell you how to play. Role pages tell you what you are allowed to do. Open the players hub and then the dedicated writeups for Blind Monkey, Mute Monkey, and Deaf Monkey. Blind is the only monkey who touches the bomb, cannot see colors or screens, reads braille by touch, and can hear spoken instructions. Mute is the only monkey with the defusal manual and cannot speak. Deaf sees the bomb and the other two monkeys, can speak, and cannot hear.

When a night falls apart, pull the callout sheet and the lobby setup tool instead of reinventing signals mid-timer. Hardware questions belong on system requirements. Rankings for which modules punish sloppy talk live on the module tier list, with role and mode lists at roles and modes. Patch reality is on launch notes and patch notes. The wiki hub is the short fact sheet if a friend only wants the player count and the Steam link.

Lefto also worked on Liars Bar and We Are So Cooked. BOMBANANA is the same studio’s bet that three people with incomplete senses is funnier, and meaner, than a voice chat full of complete information. Join the official Discord if you want group-finding and studio posts. Confirm price, languages, and the live feature list on the Steam store page.

How to use these pages during a run

Do not read a full guide while the timer is already moving. Before the session, pick roles, agree left and right from Blind’s body, and name a stop phrase. During the session, one person may glance at the module page if a family is new. After a boom, write down which step broke: Mute looked at the wrong manual page, Deaf skipped the wire count, or Blind cut before the repeat-back. Then replay the same mode instead of jumping into Endless to feel busy.

Campaign is the teacher. Endless is the exam. Custom is the drill. The environments guide is for nights the van or the plane is the real enemy. If your trio only ever queues random public rooms, you will learn slapstick faster than you learn modules. That is valid, and it is also why some groups never clear the later handcrafted bombs. Use this hub to choose which problem you are actually practicing tonight.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for three-player bomb runs.

Where should a new BOMBANANA team start?

Read Getting Started, assign roles from the players hub, then run one bomb with the callout sheet before you touch Campaign's later stages.

Can we play BOMBANANA with one or two people?

No. The Steam listing requires exactly three players in online co-op. There is no solo mode and no two-player start. See Playing Co-op.

No. The demo used a short tier list and Free Mode. The released Campaign is thirty handcrafted levels. Details are on Campaign Levels.

Do these guides include complete module answer keys?

No. Manual tables are in-game and can vary. Puzzle Modules teaches the callout process for wires, direction, keypad, switches, and the new CHAOS family.

Which page covers voice chat, emotes, and the Mute to Deaf to Blind flow?

Use Communication for the relay and Controls for the emote wheel, voice limits, and controller setup.

Where do Endless, Custom, and the airplane fit?

Campaign is thirty authored bombs. Endless is waves, Custom is your knobs, and environments covers the van, the plane, and hazards.
