BOMBANANA Tier List Hub

Rank the puzzle, the seat, and the playlist by talk load and timer risk — not by invented damage.

Tier List Hub

BOMBANANA has no damage meters, no ultimate abilities, and no official ladder. Lefto Studio’s Steam build (app 4656000, published by TARK, released September 2, 2026) is a three-player online co-op defusal game. What you can rank is how hard a thing is to say, how fast it can kill the bomb, and how much of the triangle it occupies. This hub is practical team advice for the week you actually play. It is not a publisher tier list.

Split the work across three lists:

  • Module rankings — Wires, Direction, Numpad, Switches, then the fourteen launch puzzles (eleven standard, three CHAOS).
  • Role rankings — Deaf as bottleneck, Mute as lookup, Blind as operator.
  • Mode rankings — Campaign’s 30 levels, Endless waves, Custom knobs.

If you want how-to instead of order, leave this hub and use Getting Started, the module guide, and the roles hub. Rankings assume you already know the chain: Mute reads the manual, Mute gestures to Deaf, Deaf speaks to Blind, Blind acts, Blind repeats back.

What “tier” means here

Two axes, always:

Communication load is how many facts must cross Mute-to-Deaf and Deaf-to-Blind before a legal input. A Wires cut with a complete packet is light. A Numpad branch that is odd and greater than five at the same time is heavy. CHAOS is heavy on Blind’s hands even when the sentence is short.

Timer risk is how expensive a wrong input is, and how little slack the clock gives you to recover. Wires are one-way. Switch Enter commits a whole panel. Endless waves stack modules faster than Campaign. Custom can erase the timer or delete it, which is why Custom is a spread, not a single rank.

We do not rank “fun,” “comedy potential,” or slap combos. Those are real. They do not defuse anything. Environmental hazards (outages, noise, obstructions) and the airplane stage raise both axes for every family; they are modifiers, not their own S tier.

How to use the three lists together

A new Steam group should not open Endless on CHAOS with a stranger Deaf. Read mode rankings first and pick Campaign. Then pick seats from role rankings — calm hands on Blind, clearest speaker on Deaf, fastest reader on Mute. Then clear families in the order on module rankings, which is talk-load order, not the order the van unlocks them.

When a bomb explodes, ask which axis failed. If the packet was complete and Blind still cut the wrong index, that is operator risk, not a reason to ban Wires. If Deaf spoke a number Mute was not showing, that is communication load, not a reason to bench Blind. The communication guide and callout sheet fix the sentence. These lists only tell you which sentence to practice next.

What we refuse to invent

The full game added fourteen new puzzle modules: eleven standard and three CHAOS, the last described as puzzles that keep Blind busy. Lefto Studio has not published a public named ladder for those fourteen, and this wiki will not fake names, fake wiring tables, or fake DPS. Until you have the in-game manual page in front of you, treat unnamed launch modules as “at least as talk-heavy as Numpad, CHAOS heavier on the operator.” Update your night’s order after you see the page, not after a stream overlay.

Same rule for roles and modes. There is no hidden fourth monkey. There is no solo rank. Exactly three players. Random role button is a seating tool, not a balance patch. Server browser and room codes change how you meet, not how hard a Switches Enter is. Colorblind modes (two types) lower misread risk for sighted players; they do not move a family down a tier.

A night plan that respects the lists

  1. Buy-in is $7.99, or $4.95 through September 9, 2026. Three Windows or macOS clients. Lobby setup and how to play with friends.
  2. Assign seats using the roles hub plus role rankings. Use random only if nobody cares, then lock.
  3. Run Campaign until Wires, Direction, Numpad, and Switches each have one clean packet. Campaign walkthrough.
  4. Add launch modules one family at a time. Park CHAOS until Blind will wait.
  5. Touch Endless only when the dictionary is automatic. Touch Custom to drill, not to flex every hazard knob at once.

Airplane interiors and van slapstick are launch toys. They belong after the triangle works. For patch deltas, use launch notes and patch notes. For a full map of the site, the wiki hub and review sit beside this list, not above it.

These rankings will move when a patch changes a family. They will not move because a creator published an “S-tier monkey.” Re-read the child pages when your group wipes three times on the same handoff.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for three-player bomb runs.

Is this an official BOMBANANA tier list?

No. It is practical team advice ranked by communication load and timer risk. Lefto Studio does not publish power scores. Start with module rankings.

What should a new group rank first?

Modes, then roles, then modules. Play Campaign, seat Deaf with the clearest speaker, and drill Wires before Numpad. Details on mode rankings and role rankings.

Why not rank by damage or win rate?

There is no damage. A wrong input spends a mistake or the bomb. Talk load and irreversibility predict wipes better than a fake ladder. Keep the sentence on the callout sheet.

Do the fourteen new modules have names on this list?

Not unless the in-game manual names them in a stable public way. We group them as eleven standard plus three CHAOS, and we refuse to invent titles. See module rankings.

Will colorblind mode change tiers?

It lowers misreads for Deaf and Mute. It does not make Blind see colors and it does not move Wires to a free win. Turn it on in lobby setup if you need it.

Where do roles fit if I only want a module order?

You still need the triangle. Read the roles hub so Blind, Deaf, and Mute match the packet you are about to rank.
